Made from European Oak. Chest was developed as part of an exhibition called Furniture Stories, in which individual pieces had incorporated within their conception, a story. This piece has a musical theme. It's shape emulates the chest of a human singer in full flow. The number of drawers which is 7, is the number of notes in the octave. It could well be used to store sheet music. There is also a romantic piece of music which was specifically commissioned from Faith Elliott which you can hear by pressing here.
